Billie Sue Laws, age 84, of Big Stone Gap, VA, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Lee Health and Rehab Center in Pennington Gap, VA. She was a native of Lee County and was a daughter of Edward and Rachel Eldridge Gregg. She worked at Grabeel’s Supermarket, then was janitor at the Lee County Courthouse for many years before retiring. She loved working on the farm, out in her yard and with her flowers. She belonged to Robinette’s Baptist church in Big Stone Gap, VA. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, John Laws; one son, Jack Michael Warner and wife, Savanah of Big Stone Gap; two daughters, Kathy Helton and husband, Jason of Jonesville and Linda Holcomb and husband, Jim of Speedwell, TN; four grandchildren, Michael Munsey and wife, Stacy, Brad Burkhart and wife, Alicia, Vanessa Benfield and husband, Jamie and Justin Warner and wife, Ashton; eight great-grandchildren, Lexus, Addison, Lincoln, Henry, Grant and Jonah, Josiah and Charity; two sisters, Joy Rhea of Pennington Gap and Margaret Scott and husband, Herbert of Jonesville; one brother, Bud Gregg of King, NC; four nieces, Annie, Tammy, Robin and Donna; two step-children, Rita Mullins and husband, Paul of Big Stone Gap and Missy Bennett and husband, Kevin of Kingsport, TN; step-grandchildren, Brandon Mullins and wife, Bonnie of Big Stone Gap, Jordon Piece and wife, Megan of Oak Ridge, TN, Cody Hall of Wise, VA and Casey Smith and husband, Nate of Big Stone Gap; five step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Robinette Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Mickey Gibson and Ronald Lambert officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1 at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA. Anyone wishing to travel in procession is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m.
