Mary Cole "Weasel" Sayers

I thought of Mary Cole yesterday at church and lit a candle in her memory. She'll always be missed and never forgotten.

Mary,
Please feel my hug. My daughter Hannah and I had the great privilege of spending time with Mary Cole in Georgia at the 4-H Southern Regional's. She was a pleasant surprise to our hussle and bussle of the show. May God be with you in this time of healing. Hold the memories close and carry on for Mary Cole.

Sincere condolences for your loss. Proverbs 17:22 says "a joyful heart is good medicine", therefore, may precious memories bring you joy and warm your heart. It may be comforting to know that others, even those you may not know, are thinking of your family at this most difficult time. Our loving Heavenly Father has promised that soon all pain and sorrow associated with death will be a thing of the past. Revelation 21:4 states "and he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more". The tears spoken of here are not tears of happiness and joy, but tears of mourning, outcry, sorrow and pain. 1 John 4:8 says God IS love. It is that love that moved Him to send his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, as a ransom sacrifice so those who have fallen asleep in death might have the hope of the resurrection, and that hope is found at Acts 24:15. The hope and promises found in these Scriptures are guaranteed, because Titus 1:2 states "God cannot lie". As you grieve, may Jehovah, the Father of tender mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials (2 Corinthians 1:3,4), comfort you in your time of need. ([email protected])

Mary, I don't have words to express my feelings of sorrow and sympathy for you and the family. Please know that I hold you close during this difficult time with prayers for your courage, strength and comfort. May God give you an extra measure of all that you need during this difficult time. Mary, I am deeply saddened by your tragic loss. It is very difficult to find any words to share only because I know that no one can truly know the pain that you are feeling. Any words that I find seem so trivial compared to the anguish that I know is in your heart. If there is anything that I could say it is that I wish that I could be there for you now to give you a hug. Mary and her boyfriend were frequenters in the MECC library. Everyone always thought they were so cute together. I never talked to her but a few times but the fact that I won't see her anymore and knowing how hurt her loved ones must be is truly upsetting. The library and MECC send their condolences.

Mary Cole was a good friend I met in kindergarten and we went to elementary school together, she was a kind and gentle person and she will be dearly missed.

I loved Mary Cole's bright smile and can-do attitude. I remember an ODPOAC show at which she and Hippy Hippy Shake were doing an over-fences course, and Mary Cole looked slightly less focused than usual but completed all eight jumps. When she rode out of the ring, she told us she had a bee inside her shirt that had been stinging her the whole time! I hope I can do as well completing tasks that I set for myself. Her bright light will shine on in all our memories.

I had the privilege to have her sing in one of the Jonesville FUMC Hanging of the Greens service that I helped lead. She had a beautiful voice and now singing with the angels. May God provide the family with comfort.

Gailya and I will always remember Mary Cole who came to Willow Bridge as a little girl and grew up riding horses with Chelsea, Erin, and all of the $-H kids. Nothing can or ever will replace the loss of this child. We suffer your loss Mary as you did with us. Tom R.

I remember Mary Cole on TLF Jammin Jasper as she moved from leadline to walk/trot. He wasn't a particularly easy pony, but one thing that never changed about MC in all the years I knew her was THAT SMILE. I was blessed to know her, blessed to have had her gentle spirit and irrepressible sense of humor shine on my path every time it crossed hers. She will be forever missed and forever loved. The world is better because she was in it.

Many hours and enjoyable times spent with Mary Cole her mother and my daughter doing the POA and 4 H horse events. Many laughs. Such a young women full of life. Always had that big smile on her face. Going to be missed

There are so many memories that I can think about when I think of Mary Cole. I have known her and cared about her both in my youth as the little baby I once held and the young woman I had the privilege of coaching in our little drama group. For me, Mary Cole has always represented determination and fearlessness to be her own individual. Even as a child, she went her own path.

My clearest memories as a young woman of Mary Cole are ones that make me smile. As the youngest in a brood of cousins older and rowdier, Mary Cole could hold her own. I think one of my favorites memories is when my youngest brother Jonah and her cousin Adam were in high school. Her uncle Joe had a pizza in his hand and you could just tell Mary Cole wanted a piece. So she slides over to Joe to see if he would spare a slice. Of course, Joe told her "No. Slap your face Weasel!" as only Joe can do. Mary Cole didn't miss a beat, and you can just see her start to work on him. She did end up with a slice of pizza, but it always stuck in my mind that she would do what she wanted and would not be deterred.

The world will miss this lovely and unique woman who knew how to be both sweet and strong, determined yet kind. A rare combination that will be sorely missed.
